Bangladesh Announce Unchanged Squad for T20I Series Against Pakistan

DHAKA: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has retained an unchanged squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, which is set to begin on July 20 at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.

The decision follows Bangladesh’s recent 2-1 T20I series win over Sri Lanka, with the board emphasizing stability ahead of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup.

“Unless necessary, we aim for consistency and want to avoid unnecessary experimentation,” said Najmul Abedeen Fahim, Chairman of Cricket Operations at BCB. “Stability is key moving forward.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s national team, led by Salman Ali Agha, arrived in Dhaka on July 16 for the series. The visiting side features several changes, including potential international debuts for Ahmed Daniyal and Salman Mirza.

However, Pakistan will be without key players:

  • Shadab Khan (shoulder surgery recovery)
  • Haris Rauf (Grade 1 hamstring injury)
  • Hasan Ali, currently playing for Birmingham Bears in the Men’s Vitality Blast.
