In a joyous occasion, several Pakistani cricketers attended the wedding ceremony of Shahid Afridi’s daughter in Karachi. The star-studded event witnessed the presence of notable players, including skipper Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Hassan Ali, Aamir Jamal, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. The celebration was further graced by the presence of former cricketers such as Moin Khan, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Akram, and Waqar Younis.

However, the players were unable to attend the Valima reception of Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf due to adverse weather conditions. The bad weather prevented them from traveling to Rawalpindi. Despite this, Fakhar Zaman and Faheem Ashraf managed to attend Rauf’s reception.
Sources indicate that the Pakistan team management made the decision to restrict travel to Rawalpindi due to the poor weather conditions and the team’s upcoming Test series in Sri Lanka. Originally, the players were scheduled to travel from Karachi to Rawalpindi and return on Saturday afternoon. However, considering the monsoon season and the forecast of rain in the country, the team management deemed it risky to proceed with the travel plan.
The Pakistan team recently concluded its training camp at the National Stadium in Karachi. The team is now gearing up for the Test series against Sri Lanka, which will mark the beginning of the national team’s participation in the third ICC Test Championship cycle.
