Altuve is one of the Astros’ best players, and his injury is a significant setback for the team. He is currently batting .275 with 10 home runs and 37 RBIs. Brantley is also a key part of the Astros’ lineup, and his injury is another blow to the team. He is currently batting .289 with 11 home runs and 43 RBIs.
The Astros are currently in first place in the American League West, but they will need Altuve and Brantley back in the lineup if they want to stay there. The team is already without Jeremy Peña, who is on the 60-day injured list with a right elbow fracture. Peña is expected to be out until at least mid-August.
The MRI results for Altuve are expected to be released on Wednesday. Hopefully, the injury is not serious and he will be able to return to the lineup soon.
