🏑 Pakistan Dominates Bangladesh 8-2 in Series Opener

Pakistan secured a massive 8-2 victory against Bangladesh in the opening match of their three-game away hockey series at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.

Despite a decent start by the hosts, who denied Pakistan early chances, the Green Shirts quickly established their dominance.

Pakistan’s captain, Ammad Butt, opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a converted penalty corner. Bangladesh managed to level the score just before the first quarter ended through a sensational field goal by Hozifa Hossain.

However, Pakistan quickly regained and extended their lead. Nadeem Ahmed scored in the 19th minute, and Afraz added two magnificent field goals in the 24th and 29th minutes, respectively.

In a dominant second half, Pakistan added four more goals from Ghazanfar Ali, Waheed Ashraf Rana, and Hannan Shahid, along with a second goal from Nadeem. Bangladesh pulled one back late in the 58th minute via Amirul Islam, but the deficit was insurmountable.
