ISLAMABAD: On Sunday at the Islamabad Tennis Complex, rising national tennis player Muzzamil Murtaza defeated Pakistan’s No. 2 player, Mohammad Shoaib, to win the 9th Benazir Bhutto Shaheed National Tennis Championship 2023.
After defeating Aqeel Khan, the top player in Pakistan, in the semifinal, Muzzamil Murtaza continued his winning streak and defeated Mohammad Shoaib in straight sets, 2-0, with a final score of 6-1 and 7-5 to win the coveted national tennis match.
As the chief guest of the closing ceremony, Senator Farahatullah Babar presented prizes to the winners and runners-up in every category of competition.

Ladies’ Singles: Sara Mehboob beat Amna Ali Qayum 7-5, 6-1
Girls’ Single Under-18: Amna Ali Qayum beat Shiza Sajjid 6-3, 6-2
Boys’ Single Under-12: Shayan Afridi beat Raziq Sultan 4-0, 4-2
Boys’ Under 10: Rashid Ali Bachani beat Mohammad Faizan 4-2, 4-2.
