LAHORE: On Friday at the Lahore Polo Club, the fourth day of the Hamadan Lahore Open Polo Championship 2023, presented by Hamadan and Samsung, concluded with impressive wins for Newage Cables and Remounts.
By the final score of 7–5, Newage Cables defeated Rijas Polo in the first match of the day. The most remarkable player of the day was Newage Cables’ Hamza Mawaz Khan, who scored seven goals to leave a lasting impression. With three spectacular goals, Juan Manuel Grossi emerged as Rijas Polo’s top scorer. Mohib Shahzad and Ahmed Zubair Butt each added one goal to their total.
Remounts defeated Master Paints 6-3 in the second game of the day, securing an easy victory. Lao Abelenda scored a hat-trick of goals to lead the Remounts attack and displayed incredible skill. Muhammad Naeem scored one goal, and Omer Asjad Malhi added two. Amirreza Behboudi scored a brace and Sufi Muhammad Haroon added one goal for the Master Paints team
The play of the day exemplified the skill and spirit of competition on show at the Hamadan Lahore Open Polo Championship. There will be more exciting polo action at the Lahore Polo Club on Sunday, December 17, thanks to two important matches.
