PATRONS AIBAK POLO CUP 2023: DIAMOND PAINTS LIFT TROPHY
LAHORE: Diamond Paints horsemen defeated Remounts 8-6 in the final of the Patrons 47th Aibak Polo Cup 2023 on Sunday at Lahore Polo Club (LPC).
Saqib Khan Khakwani demonstrated excellent game skills by scoring three goals for his team and helping Diamond Paints win the championship. Raja Temur Nadeem and Mir Huzaifa Ahmed each had two goals, while Bilal Hayat Noon had one. Remounts’ efforts were highlighted by three goals from Lao Abelenda, two from Mohammad Naeem, and one from Omer Asjad Malhi.
Team Newage Cables/Master Paints defeated Pebble Breaker in the earlier subsidiary final, winning 6-3. Both teams gave admirable performances, but it was Newage Cables/Master Paints who emerged victorious in the subsidiary final, winning 6-3.
As chief guest, President LPC Azam Hayat Noon attended the final. Executive Committee members and distinguished guests attended, including Patrons Mir Shoaib Ahmed, Farooq Amin Sufi, Adnan Jalil Azam, Alman Jalil Azam, Taimur Ali Malik, Mir Khuzaima Ahmed, and Qadeer Ashfaq.
