Pakistan has revealed their 14-man squad for the Asian Volleyball Championship, set to take place in Tehran, Iran, from August 19 to 26. The team will depart on August 11 for pre-event practice matches and to acclimate to the playing conditions in Iran. The squad comprises players like Mubashir Raza, Usman Faryad, Afaq Khan, Murad Jahan, Nasir Ali, Bilal Khan, Hamid Yazman, Kashif Naveed, Abdul Zaheer, Mohammad Hammad, Musawwar Khan, Murad Khan, Farooq Haider, and Dayanat Ali. Brazilian Issanaye Ramires Ferraz will serve as the head coach, accompanied by physical trainer Lucas Ferreira Rodrigues, and Iranian video analyst Armin Golkari. Pakistan is in Group F, with matches against Bangladesh on August 20 and South Korea on August 21. Notably, in the last Asian Volleyball Championship in 2022, Pakistan secured the title after defeating Iran 3-1 in an intense final match. The competition also saw Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan participating.
