Ahsan Ramzan, a talented snooker player from Pakistan, emerged victorious in the Asian U-21 Snooker Championship held in Iran on Wednesday.

In a thrilling final, Ahsan defeated Malad Pourali from Iran by a score of five frames to two.Right from the beginning, the young Pakistani cueist showcased his skill and dominance, swiftly securing a lead of 4-0 by winning the first four frames convincingly.
Although Malad Pourali made a strong comeback by winning the fifth and sixth frames, Ahsan maintained his composure and control over the game.
He ultimately sealed the victory by winning the seventh frame and claiming the championship title.
The final match concluded with frame scores of 48-46, 70-5, 61-6, 62-29, 30-71, 55-67, and 101-27, reflecting the intense competition between the players.
Ahsan’s journey to the final included a semifinal victory over Tirdad Azadipout from Iran, where he triumphed with a score of 4-2 in the Best of Seven format.
In the quarterfinals, Ahsan faced Digvijay Kadyan from India, resulting in a closely contested match. Despite trailing 3-2, Ahsan demonstrated resilience and skill, winning the match with scores of 19-76, 36-76, 67-35, 63-31, 72-55, 27-65, and 9-70.
During the group stage matches, Ahsan faced off against Iran’s Arshia Tehrani and Ali Lelegani, emerging victorious in both encounters.
In the first group match, Ahsan dominated Tehrani, winning all three sets with scores of 55-21, 93-15, and comfortably securing the third frame as well.Ahsan’s achievement is noteworthy, as he became the first Pakistani to win the Asian U21 championship title.
Previously, Farhan Mirza, Majid Ali, and Haris Tahir had reached the final on four occasions but were unable to clinch the championship. Ahsan’s remarkable performance has elevated him to a prominent position in the realm of young snooker players.
