Former Watford striker Troy Deeney has warned Manchester United of a “demoralising afternoon” ahead of their FA Cup final clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

Deeney, who played against United on several occasions during his time at Watford, believes the Red Devils are “a shadow of their former selves” and that Chelsea will be too strong for them.
“I think it’s going to be a demoralisng afternoon for Man United,” Deeney told Sky Sports. “They’re a shadow of their former selves and Chelsea are just too good for them at the moment.
“United have been poor all season and they’ve got nothing to play for. Chelsea, on the other hand, are still in the hunt for the Premier League title and they’ll be desperate to win the FA Cup as well.
“I think it’s going to be a one-sided affair and I’m expecting Chelsea to win comfortably.”Deeney’s comments come after United’s recent struggles in the Premier League. The Red Devils have won just two of their last six games and are currently languishing in seventh place in the table.Chelsea, on the other hand, are in much better form.
The Blues are currently third in the Premier League and are just two points behind leaders Manchester City. The FA Cup final will be played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Kick-off is at 4:30pm BST.
