Lahore Qalandars thrashed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) XI by 10 wickets in a T10 exhibition match at the Narowal Sports City on Sunday.
Chasing a target of 120 runs, Qalandars reached home in just 7.4 overs with opener Fakhar Zaman scoring an unbeaten 68 off 23 balls. Zaman was well supported by Tahir Baig, who scored 51 off 23 balls.Earlier, PCB XI had set a target of 120 runs after winning the toss and batting first.
Asif Ali top-scored for PCB XI with 62 off 26 balls, but his efforts were in vain as Qalandars bowlers restricted PCB XI to 119 for 5.Haris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers for Qalandars, taking 2 for 17 in his four overs.
The match was played as part of the celebrations to mark the completion of the Narowal Sports City.
The complex has 14 stadiums and gymnasiums for different games such as cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, squash, table tennis, lawn tennis and badminton.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is expected to be the guest of honour at the launching ceremony of the state-of-the-art complex.
