ISLAMABAD: Aamir Nawaz, Secretary of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), formally declared that the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Men’s and Women’s International Squash Championships would take place at the Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad starting on November 20.
At a press conference held on Tuesday at a nearby hotel, he went on to say that four foreign players would participate in the CAS annual fixture. The prise money for the men’s competition is $12,000, while the women’s is $6,000. There will be 24 players in the main draw of both tournaments, he said.
In addition to athletes from Pakistan, the upcoming tournament will feature competitors from Malaysia, Egypt, and Spain. The winner of the men’s championship will receive USD 1805 in prise money, while the runner-up will receive USD 1140.
