Sri Lanka captured the T20I series against Zimbabwe with a powerful eight-wicket victory in the decisive third match. The team rebounded strongly after a poor loss in the second game.
This confident win provides crucial momentum for Sri Lanka ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup.

Mishara and Perera Steer Commanding Run Chase
Facing a challenging target of 192, Sri Lanka’s openers launched an aggressive assault. Pathum Nissanka struck early boundaries, helping push the PowerPlay score to 67/1.
After Nissanka’s dismissal, Kamil Mishara and Kusal Perera took control. They built a massive, unbroken 117-run partnership that demolished Zimbabwe’s bowling attack.
Mishara celebrated his maiden T20I fifty during the stand. The pair guided Sri Lanka to a comfortable win with 14 balls to spare.
Zimbabwe Posts Competitive Total Despite Loss
Zimbabwe had a strong start after choosing to bat first. Opener Tadiwanashe Marumani played aggressively, scoring a well-made half-century.
Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams provided solid support in the middle overs. Cameos from Ryan Burl and Tashinga Musekiwa in the death overs helped Zimbabwe reach a competitive total of 191/8.
The bowling attack, however, could not defend the score against a determined Sri Lankan batting lineup.
