MUSCAT: Pakistan delivered a commanding performance to defeat China 7-2 in the Junior Hockey Asia Cup 2024 on Wednesday, with standout contributions from Sufiyan Khan and Hamza Fayaz.
The match began cautiously, with both teams failing to score in the first quarter. However, Hamza Fayaz broke the deadlock just two minutes into the second quarter with a superb field goal.

Pakistan capitalized on their momentum when Sufiyan Khan converted a penalty corner, doubling their lead. Moments later, Hamza struck again, giving Pakistan a strong 3-0 advantage.
China responded through Di Yanwei, who scored immediately after to make it 3-1. But Pakistan maintained their dominance, with Muhammad Ammad adding a fourth goal in the third quarter.
