Yasir Khan, the Bronze medalist from Pakistan in the Asian Athletics Championship, revealed that he received congratulations over the phone from Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, a star athlete. Yasir expressed how this gesture from Neeraj gave him a significant boost in confidence after securing the Bronze in the Asian event.

He spoke to the media, sharing that Neeraj Bhai is his favorite athlete and a close friend. The call from Neeraj after his victory meant a lot to Yasir, reinforcing his determination.

In the championship, Yasir achieved a career-best throw of 79.93 meters, securing the Bronze medal. Now, he sets his sights on qualifying for the Olympics, aiming to enhance his performance in the upcoming Asian Games.

His ultimate goal is to represent Pakistan in the next Olympics, and he is committed to working towards that aspiration.

The Asian championship concluded with Japan’s Roderick Genki Dean winning the gold medal with a throw of 83.15 meters, and India’s Manu Devarakeshavi Prakash securing the silver medal with a throw of 81.01 meters.
