Soccer Player Shumaila Sattar Sent on Judicial Remand in Jinnah House Attack Case

LAHORE (Special Report) – A local court on Sunday sent national soccer player Shumaila Sattar on judicial remand for 14 days in the Jinnah House attack case.

The footballer was arrested on Saturday by a police team that raided her house in Lahore. She was produced before a judicial magistrate on Sunday, who sent her on judicial remand.

Shumaila is accused of being involved in the sabotage act outside the Jinnah House on May 9. She is a goalkeeper in the national soccer team.

The police have registered a case against her and several others under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including terrorism.

The case is being investigated by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

Shumaila’s lawyer has denied the charges against her and said that she will prove her innocence in court.

The Jinnah House attack was a major security breach that raised concerns about the safety of national institutions. The attack took place on 9th of May .

The police have arrested several suspects in the case, including important leaders of . However, the main accused are still at large.

The CTD has announced a reward of Rs1 million for information leading to the arrest of the main accused.
