The highly esteemed Montreal Open International Karate Championship, held on the 10th and 11th of June 2023, showcased an awe-inspiring demonstration of skill in the city of Montreal.Representing Pakistan in the 75kg category, Saadi emerged triumphant, clinching the gold medal for his country through his exceptional karate prowess.

Saadi’s journey towards the gold began with a remarkable triumph over Hamoon Dearfshipur from Iran, a participant in the 2020 Olympics held in Tokyo, with a score of 4-2.

Displaying his remarkable karate skills, the 35-year-old Saadi continued his winning streak into the second round, defeating Ilyas Abdoun from Canada with an identical scoreline of 4-2.In the final, Saadi overcame the challenge posed by Canadian athlete Allarie Caron Nellgan with an impressive scoreline of 4-1.

Throughout the match, Saadi showcased dominance, ultimately securing the coveted gold medal.

With his remarkable achievement on Canadian soil, Saadi is now poised to represent Pakistan in the upcoming Asian Games scheduled to take place in China later this year.
