After two days of rigorous trials, the selection committee has recommended a number of athletes for the National Athletics Camp. This camp will be crucial for the final selection of teams for upcoming competitions.
Three competitions are scheduled to be held by the South Asian Athletics Federation in 2024:
- South Asian Junior Athletics Championships: 11-13 September 2024, India
- South Asian Senior Athletics Championships: 3-5 October 2024, India
- South Asian Cross Country Championships: 3 November 2024, Islamabad
Trials for the selection of national athletics teams to participate in the above-mentioned competitions were organized by the Athletics Federation of Pakistan in Lahore on 27 and 28 July 2024. The trials saw historic attendance, with a total of 611 athletes from all over the country participating.
The camp will cover the following events:
- 100m
- 200m
- 400m
- 800m
- 10,000m
- 100m hurdles
- 110m hurdles
- 400m hurdles
- Long Jump
- High Jump
- Discus Throw
- Javelin Throw
- Shot Put
