Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Mushtaq highlighted that the final team selection will be determined after the team evaluates the conditions in Rawalpindi. The first Test is scheduled to begin on August 21 in Rawalpindi, followed by the second Test in Karachi, which will run from August 30 to September 3.

Mushtaq underscored the importance of spinners in Test cricket, praising the quality of Bangladesh’s spin attack. He noted that these spinners are vital components of the team and have the ability to change the course of a match. Additionally, he mentioned that Bangladesh is producing strong bowling talent overall, including fast bowlers who are prepared to step up if the conditions favor pace bowling.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for extending an invitation to the Bangladesh team to arrive early for practice sessions. This early preparation is particularly beneficial in light of the ongoing political unrest in Bangladesh, allowing the team to focus on their game despite external challenges.

Mushtaq’s optimism and confidence in the team’s bowling unit reflect Bangladesh’s determination to perform strongly in the Test series against Pakistan.
