Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem has qualified for the Javelin Throw final at the Paris Olympics 2024 with an impressive 86.59-meter throw on his first attempt.
Defending champion Neeraj Chopra from India also advanced to the final, throwing 89.34 meters on his first attempt.
The Javelin Throw final will take place on Thursday, August 8, at 11:25 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Athletes needed a minimum throw of 84 meters to secure a place in the final. If fewer than 12 athletes met this mark, those with the best throws would qualify.
Nadeem, Pakistan’s last hope for an Olympic medal, has shown great promise. He previously won a silver medal at the World Championships last year and a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where he achieved a remarkable throw of 90.18 meters.
