Tozturkan faces charges of extortion, while Lins is accused of aiding and abetting the crime. Two weeks later, Fritsche was captured at his apartment. The trial commenced on December 10 in Wuppertal, near Dusseldorf. Fritsche faces the prospect of a significant prison sentence if convicted, while Tozturkan could be sentenced to up to 15 years behind bars.
