ISLAMABAD, June 16, 2023 – The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has approved a one-year development program for the Pakistan women’s volleyball team.
The program will provide the team with coaching support, equipment, and training resources.
The program was approved after a joint application from the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) and the Empower Sports Academy. The PVF and Empower Sports Academy have been working together to promote women’s volleyball in Pakistan.”We are thrilled to receive this support from the FIVB,” said Alisha Junaid, President/Founder of Empower Sports Academy.
“This funding will help us to provide the Pakistan women’s volleyball team with the resources they need to succeed.”The development program will include the following:
* 12 months of coaching support from FIVB-certified coaches* Development of national team coaches
* Provision of Mikasa volleyballs and Senoh volleyball nets and net systems
* Support for national federation sports management and administration
The program is expected to help the Pakistan women’s volleyball team improve their skills and performance. The team is expected to compete in international tournaments in the near future.
“This is a significant step forward for women’s volleyball in Pakistan,” said Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC). “We are grateful to the FIVB for their support, and we are confident that the Pakistan women’s volleyball team will make us proud.”
